Notably, Office and Administrative Support Occupations jobs accounted for a 24% share of the German’s apparel industry new job postings in Q2 2023, up by 213% over the prior quarter.

Office and Administrative Support Occupations drive apparel hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which accounted for 24% of the total new job postings in Q2 2023 and were down by 11% year-on-year. Second highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 14% and drop by 45% year-on-year, and third highest were Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations, which were 1081% of the new job postings and 19% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in apparel accounted for 86% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by REWE Group with 18,908, followed by Aldi Einkauf with 3,043, while the highest increase was at Amazon at 1%.
