SVB Financial Group (SVB Financial) is a banking and financial holding company that offers commercial and private banking, asset management, and investment solutions. In March 2023, the holding company has ceased to be the parent of Silicon Valley Bank, subsequent to the closure of the latter by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, and FDIC. Amid this crisis, SVB Financial also has filed for bankruptcy. It used to offer a range of deposit services; loans and credit facilities such as equipment loans, asset-based loans, accounts-receivable-based lines of credit, term loans, credit cards, and capital call lines of credit; treasury management, investment products, private wealth management services, and foreign exchange and trade financing solutions. Its non-banking solutions included funds management, private equity investment, and venture capital through its other subsidiaries, primarily to entrepreneurs, venture capital/private equity professionals, investors, corporates, enterprises of all sizes and stages, and individuals through offices in the US, Ireland, Canada, India, Denmark, China, Hong Kong, Israel, and Germany. SVB Financial is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, the US.
